I agree! My children are in lower grades but, there are so many things that should be discussed around health fitness, activities and proper nutrition. I don’t understand why this is not taught right away so healthy practices are built into habits from a young age rather than waiting until they are in high school. Many children could have already experienced the natural challenges of puberty without a supporting hands from outside the home to encourage positive acceptance of self and understanding.

I agree! I am looking into a Y membership so I can take my 6th grader 2 days a week for “PE”. It’d be amazing as an elective for middle schoolers.

I agree, I am not as active as I used to be, so helping a child with tons of energy can be difficult. Plus, im not sure if the things i had been taught might be a bit dated. Especially since it’s been over 30 years since I graduated!
